BBC - Measuring public value
The BBC’s public service remit gives it the opportunity to deliver social value beyond broadcasting, in the way it promotes awareness of global issues, community activity, culture, education and creativity.
Using the GoodBrand Social Equity Index® we evaluated how a cross section of the British public perceives the social value created by the BBC. We identified specific areas and audiences where the BBC has the opportunity to improve its performance and the delivery of its public broadcasting service remit, an essential component in the ongoing debate around the BBC funding through the TV licence.
